Elizabeth Sanseverino
It is with aching hearts the family of Elizabeth Ann Sanseverino announce her passing on July 30, 2024 at the age of 84. Betty or Betty-Ann as she was lovingly called was born on September 21, 1939 in Stamford to the late George Novak and Anna Zimkus Novak. Betty-Ann was predeceased by brother, Michael Novak, Alfred Sanseverino; her husband and in-laws: Dominic and Patricia Sanseverino and Anne and Frank Perna.
She attended the Stamford Public Schools System, where she met her best girlfriend Mary Tatarka- Kirka, was an active member of the St Benedict’s CYO and working in Stamford met the love of her life Alfred Sanseverino. They were married 60 years and resided in Stamford when Al passed. Betty missed Al every day after.
She was the loving supportive mother to Thomas Sanseverino (Angela Abate), Susan Sanseverino and Judith Kavulich (Maris). Betty, affectionately known as Grammy was the proud Grandmother to James, Thomas (Sienna), Joseph, Michael, Mia and Max. She is survived by her sisters-in-laws, Carol Lalli (Mike) and Gail Novak.
Being a nurturer to family, friends, nieces, nephews and cousins was very important to Betty-Ann. She really loved each one of them and was devoted to their well-being. Betty loved her Slovak-Italian Traditions and her kitchen always wafting with such delicious aromas that you had to sneak a taste. She could always feed an army, any time, any day and loved it!
