Mary Palmer

Mary Palmer was born to Pellegrino & Maria Polvere (both deceased) on April 30, 1924 in the Bronx, NY. She had two older brothers Joseph & Alfred (both deceased). She moved to Connecticut after marrying Jack Palmer who predeceased her in 2007. She is survived by three children, Mark (Lisa Consolati) and twins Scott (Aida) & Leslie (Viola Lovello). She was grandmother to six, Mark Jr. & Nicole, Jason & Justin, and Amy & James.
Prior to marriage, Mary worked for ASCAP Licensing in New York, was a substitute teacher at Pipers Hill and bookkept for Palmer Brother’s Construction Company. In her later adult life she was a member of the Stamford Womens Club, Stamford AARP & St. Leo’s Seniors while maintaining a lifetime membership at the Italian Center. Mary was an excellent cook who enjoyed singing and listening to Frank Sinatra, spending time with her grandchildren and attending pour @ four. She loved opera, tennis and was a big fan of the Yankees, Uconn women’s basketball and Geno Auriemma. Mary was known by all to be steadfast, caring and clever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3 at 11:00 AM at St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Road, Stamford. There will be no calling hours.
