A. Kevin Petersen, 64, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born August 6, 1944 in Stamford, he is the son of Winifred Collins Petersen of Pahrump, Nevada and the late Alfred Peter Petersen.
Kevin was an employee for the City of Stamford in the Engineering Department for 43 years. He was the Past President of the Exchange Club of Stamford, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Augustine Council #41, 3rd degree, and a member of the St. Ann Club of Norwalk.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Arlene Simonelli Petersen; three daughters, Dawn M. Clarke and her husband Peter of Stamford; Kelly A. Adcock and her husband Stephen of Norwalk; and Tracey L. Petersen of Norwalk; and three grandchildren, Carly and Ava Clarke and Alexis Adcock.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Brian Petersen.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, October 1 from 9:00 11:00 AM with a prayer service being held at 10:30 AM with Msgr. Dora officiating. Interment will be private.
