Achilles Guiliani

Achilles “Ike” Guiliani, 81 of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Naples, Florida. Born on January 8, 1929 in Greenwich, CT, he was the son of the late Armando and Lucy Scalise Guiliani.
Achilles was a Stamford Police Officer for forty years before retiring in 1998. He was also a member of the Italian Center Men’s Club and the Stamford Police Association.
Achilles is survived by his wife, Elaine Kiggins Guiliani, of Stamford; their children, Anthony Guiliani of Stamford, Kathleen and Roger Lapointe of Norwalk and Thomas Guiliani of Queens, NY; his sister, Victoria and Joseph Pensiero, of Stamford; his brothers, Salvatore Guiliani of Stamford and Armando and Barbara Guiliani, Jr. of Norwalk; two grandchildren, Michael and Kristin O’Neill; and great-grandson, Deacon O’Neill. Also a brother in law John DeBlasi of Stamford.
In addition to his parents, Achilles was predeceased by his son, Ricky Paul Guiliani and his sister Theresa DeBlasi.
A Funeral Procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford , on April 6, 2010 at 8:50 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, April 5,2010 from 4:00-8:00PM.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
