Adelaida Cabrera

Adelaida Cabrera, 72, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport. Born October 16, 1936 in Havana, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Carmen De La Cueva.
Adelaida was a Stamford resident for thirty four years before moving to Trumbull four years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Carlos Cabrera, Sr. of Trumbull; a son, Carlos Cabrera, Jr. and his wife, Alma of Waterbury; a daughter, Maria Alt and her husband, Mark, of New Canaan; two grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, March 18 from 5:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:50 AM on Thursday, March 19 and proceed to St. Benedict RC Church, St. Benedict Circle, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
