Adolfo Loffredo, 81, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Greenwich Hospital. He was born in Teano Caserta, Italy on October 16, 1939 to the late Pasquale and Teresa Camasso Loffredo.
Adolfo worked as a Chef at numerous restaurants. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He loved passing on his Italian culinary traditions to his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Antonietta Canneto Loffredo of Stamford, his loving sons, Walter Loffredo and his wife Cary of Cos Cob, Roberto Loffredo and his wife Toni of Stamford and his brother, Antonio Loffredo of Italy, as well as his grandchildren, Massimiliano, Mia, Lucia and Gianna Loffredo.
Besides his parents, Adolfo was also predeceased by his brother, Alfonso Loffredo and Luisa Fiorentino.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday morning, July 15, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Maurice RC Church, 359 Glenbrook Road, Stamford at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
