Albert Frank Drovy �"Ike”, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Yonkers, NY on October 25, 1924, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Drovy.

He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II, combat duty in the Pacific. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Telephone Pioneers of America.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Kolesar) Drovy, who he married on October 25, 1947. He and his wife resided in Boulder City, Nevada after his retirement for the past 25 years. Recently, he moved back to NY to be with his family. Ike is also survived by his daughter, Debbie Connolly and her husband, Mike; Karen Tenenbaum and her husband, Martin; and Denise Thomas; seven grandchildren, Michael; Stacey; Andrew (wife Jenny); Douglas (wife Elizabeth); Gerald; Kyle; and Nicholas. Florence Anderson; Theresa Stevens; and a brother, Thomas Drovy, also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers, NY. There will be no calling hours.
