Albert Longo
December 30, 1926 — January 16, 2010
Albert S. Longo, 83, a lifetime resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Stamford Hospital. Born on December 30, 1926 in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Paul and Angelina D’Ambrosio Longo.
Albert was an employee of Pitney Bowes of Stamford for 43 years, holding various managerial positions, having retired in the mid 1980’s. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII.
Albert is survived by his sons, Paul A. Longo and his wife Clare and David P. Longo and his wife, Sherry, both of Stamford; his daughter, Donna J. Rocchio of New York; and a sister, Marietta Sabini of Stamford. Three grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Vita Chiappetta Longo; his sisters, Rose Longo, Antoinette Buggisch, Angelina Medeiros and Jenny Verrico; his brothers, Jerry and Paul Longo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment at St. John’s RC Cemetery will be private.
