Albert A. Mucci, 89, a lifelong resident of Waterbury, Connecticut and West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026.

Born in Waterbury on August 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary Beaelli Mucci. He graduated from Wilby High School and went on to serve his country as a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Texas and involved in the Nike Missile Program.

Albert was the owner and operator of the Tire Shak in Ansonia, Connecticut, for many years before retiring at the age of 52. He took great pride in his work and in the relationships he built within the community.

He cherished his winters at his Florida home, where he enjoyed golfing and playing bocce with friends. At home, Albert found joy in working in the yard, tending to projects around the house, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Carol Petrizzi Muccii; his daughters, Denise Sciarretta and her husband, Vincent, of Darien, Connecticut, and Lori Mucci and her husband, Jerry Hines, of Wilton, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Lilly Sciarretta and Lauren Pate and her husband, Joseph; and his great-grandchildren, Mila and Shay Pate.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, playful sense of humor, and the love and devotion he had for his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Greenwich. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery – St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, North Street, Greenwich. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Albert’s memory.

His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be carried in the hearts of all who knew him.
