Alexander Olszewski

Alexander J. Olszewski, 82 of Stamford died April 10, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Olszewski.
Mr. Olszewski was born January 18, 1927 in Cos Cob, CT. He has served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Prior to his retirement in 1995 from heavy equipment operations. He enjoyed coaching Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams.
Mr. Olszewski is survived by two sons Alexander Olszewski Jr., and his fiancée Diane Lefebvre of Stamford, and Joseph L. Olszewski and his fiancée Mary Pia of Stamford. His sister Margaret Brown of Stamford, and former wife/friend Margaret Stradinger Olszewski of Stamford. Three Grandchildren Kayla, Alexis, and Christian Olszewski, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Florence Fasoli, and three brothers John Olin, Martin and George Olszewski.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. On Wednesday April 15 from 5:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:20 AM. On Thursday April 16 and proceed to Saint Catherine of Siena Church 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, CT. Where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Internment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Greenwich, CT.
