Alfred Zerbarini, Jr.

Alfred Joseph Zerbarini Jr., 84, of Stamford, passed away on May 2, 2012 at Stamford Hospital. Born on March 12, 1928 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Alfred Joseph and Alba M. Laguardia Zerbarini.
Alfred was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Army Glider and Parachute Brigade. He was the former owner of Bee-Line Auto Center and a former member of the Kiwanis Club. Alfred was a race car driver and won his last championship at age 64.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Louise P. Perrone Zerbarini of Stamford; two daughters, Donna L. and Gary Palmer of NY and Diana L. and James P. Taylor of CT; one brother, Robert & Jan Zerbarini of CT; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Sara, Douglas, Gary, Joshua, Kyle, and Steven; and three great grandchildren, Aidan, Emma and Hailey.
Besides his parents, Alfred was predeceased by a sister, Carol Wilson.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alfred’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
