Amelia Ciotto Capocci

Amelia Ciotto Capocci, 93, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born July 13, 1913 in Settefrati, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Lucia DiPreta Ciotto.
Amelia was an employee of Stamford Hospital retiring in 1980 after twelve years.
She is survived by a daughter, Edda Capocci of Stamford; two sons, Victor Capocci of Stamford; and Frank Capocci of Norwalk; a sister, Triestina Socci of Stamford; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Quintilio Capocci; a brother, Gerardo Ciotto; and three sisters, Maria DiPreta, Teresa Rossi, and Antoinetta Tamburro.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Monday, June 4, 2007 and proceed to St. Marys RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with Father Jose Rebaque officiating.
