Amelia “Millie” Caputo, 88, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 08, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Bovino Foggia, Italy on July 2, 1925 to the late Anthony and Carmella Fratturo DePalma.
She is survived by her loving children Carl and JoAnn Caputo of Stamford, five sisters Dina Carella of Southbury, CT, Antoinette Gerardi, Jean Perna, Carmella Raffaele, Marie Sparan all of Stamford and two brothers George DePalma of Oxford, CT, and Joseph DePalma of Norwich, CT . Also many nieces and nephews surviving.
Besides her parents, Amelia was predeceased by her loving husband Joe Caputo and her sister Tilly Cognetta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Maurice RC Church,358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT on Friday, April 11, 2014.Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery. Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
