Amelia Colica

Amelia T. Colica, 89, of Stamford, CT passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at The Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence. Born on October 13, 1921, Amelia was the daughter of the late Louis and Assunta Sena D’Vachio.
Amelia is survived by her son James A. Colica and his wife Kathy of Greenwich, three grandchildren, Jimmy, Dawn and Amy Colica and four great-grandchildren Ashley, Gabriella, Julia and Dillon Colica.
Amelia was predeceased by her parents, her husband John A. Colica, one brother, Julius D’Vachio and two sisters, Marie D’Vachio and Anne Morrongiello.
A Funeral Procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 9:20AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Cecilia Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 from 4:00-8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence, Shelburne Road & W. Broad Street, Stamford, CT 06902.
