Amy Jane Lione-Hoyt

Amy Lione Hoyt was born and raised in Stamford CT to the late Samuel Lione and Jane Lione. Amy was a fun and loving sister, aunt and a loyal friend.  Amy will celebrate 35 years married to Charlie Hoyt owner of Hoyt Painting LLC. In Stamford

Amy retired from a career as a hair stylist in Stamford and the Zotos international Salon in Darien.  Amy's true passion was her devotion to animals and animal rescue. Particularly feline rescue, where she volunteered with Pitter Patter Feline Rescue in Stamford as a trapper of feral cats, strays and kittens, involved in trap neuter release, socializing and foster care. She volunteered at Feral cat spay neuter clinics which benefited many local rescue groups. She believed in compassion for all animals adopting a vegan lifestyle and was committed to educating others in animal welfare. Amy also volunteered weekly at the Darien Thrift Shop.

Amy is survived by her loving husband Charles Hoyt, her sisters Cheryl Lione, Barbara Lisena (Mykel), Norma Stockmar (John), Carol Appleby (David). Her Niece and Nephew, who Amy adored, Sarah Appleby (Nick), and Matthew Appleby. And her many beloved cats.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, September 10th, Amy's 72nd birthday, from 4PM to 8PM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.  A prayer service will begin at 7PM.  The interment will be private.
