Anastasios C. Vouthounis,62, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 26, 2017. He was born on March 25, 1955 in Sparta, Greece to Georgia Nestoras Vouthounis and the late Costas P. Vouthounis.
Anastasios was employed for over forty years as an Operations Manager in the Baking Industry with several bakeries.
He is survived by his loving wife Eleftheria Savvaidis Vouthounis, his devoted mother, Georgia Nestoras Vouthounis , his loving children, Georgia A. (Lembesis) Vouthounis and her husband Bill, Constantinos Vouthounis and Hellen Vouthounis, all of Stamford, as well as a sister Harriet Ardavanis and her husband Dennis and two nephews of Brooklyn, NY.
Anastasios was predeceased by his father, Costas P. Vouthounis on February 13, 2017.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM for a funeral service to be celebrated at 11:30 AM at the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue,Norwalk. Family and friends may call at the funeral home TODAY, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM, with a Trisagion service to be held at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anastasios’ memory to the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT 06905
