Andrei Slipyi

Andrei Slipyi, 37, died suddenly at his home in Stamford on Monday July 31, 2006. Born November 19, 1968 in Ternopil, Ukraine, he is the son of Zenoviy and Olga Dmytriv Slipyi.
Andrei was a contractor and owner of Saz Construction Company and held a Masters Degree in Engineering. He was a prominent member of the Ukrainian Community and a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Alina Slipyi of Stamford; two sons, Timur and Daniel Slipyi of Stamford; and a brother, Vasyl Slipyi of Norwalk.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, at 9:20 AM on Saturday August 5, 2006 and proceed to St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 24 Wenzel Terrace, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday August 4, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM, with a prayer service being held at 7:00 PM with Msgr.
