Andrew Penachio
October 14, 1927 — July 12, 2010
Andrew Thomas Penachio passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 in Stamford after a brief illness at the age of 82. Andy was born October 14th, 1927 and graduated from Stamford High School Class of 1946. He was a lifelong resident of Stamford.
Andrew served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer. Andy was a well known people person and it was often thought that he probably knew more people in Stamford than the Mayor.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Penachio. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Parady and her husband, Gary, of Texas, his son, Thomas Penachio and his wife, Carol, of CT, seven grandchildren, Stephen Parady and wife, Chelsea, Tim Parady and wife, Tammy, and Bryan Parady of Texas, Jamie Valenzuela and husband, Adam, of Illinois, Laura, Lisa and David Penachio of CT, one great grandchild, Trinity Parady of Texas and his brother, Jack Penachio and wife, Mary Ann, of Florida.
He is greatly loved and will be truly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Stamford, CT. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 3:00-7:00PM.
