Angela Corsano

Angela F. Corsano, 95, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2008 at Brighton Gardens in Stamford. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 3, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Providenzia Calia. As of the last 5 years, she was a resident of Stamford.
Angela was an employee of Alexanders Department Store of Brooklyn, NY, for 20 years. She was an avid bingo player and loved the slots at Atlantic City. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Angela is survived by two sons, Vincent M. Corsano and his wife Anne M., and Robert J. Corsano and his wife Anne O.; four grandchildren, Laura, Jennifer, Vanessa and Michael; and four great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Leonardo, Sabina and Reilly.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Vincent J. Corsano, of which they had a loving and affectionate marriage of 67 years.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Sunday, December 14 (TODAY) from 2-6 PM.
A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday, December 15 at 10:20 AM and proceed to St. Leos RC Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
