Angela Haviland Nichols, 89, of Charlton, MA, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. Angela was born in Stamford on March 7, 1923 to the late Dominick Morosa and Rose Gandiana Morosa. Angela was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, serving in various leadership capacities and worked as a controller for Toyota for 15 years before her retirement.
Angela is survived by her two sons; Donald W. Haviland and his wife Sandra of Burlington, VT and Jeffery A. Haviland and his wife Linda of Swarthmore, PA, as well as six grandchildren; Suzanne, Shaun, Zakariah, Kaziah, Derek and Jennifer, and one great-grandchild; Mirae.
Besides her parents, Angela is predeceased by her first husband Willard H. Haviland, as well as by her second husband Horace Nichols.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue Stamford, CT at 10:20 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 for a funeral service at the First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Road Stamford, CT at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery Oaklawn Ave, Stamford, CT. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Angela’s name to the First United Methodist Church, 42 Cross Road Stamford, CT 06905.
