Lorraine Farrell, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, passed away peacefully at her residence in Stamford on November 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Born on December 21, 1934, in Stamford, Connecticut, she was the cherished daughter of the late George and Loretta Murphy Farrell and the youngest of five sisters.

Throughout her life, Ann was a beacon of love and support for her family, lovingly known as "Aunt Lorraine" to her 17 surviving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her four beloved sisters and their husbands: Elizabeth "Betty" Brown (Bill), Alice DeFrancesco (Aldo), Mary Lou Kerr (Matthew), and Dorothy Nestor (James). The bonds she shared with her sisters were strong and deep-rooted, reflecting the love they had for one another throughout their lives.

Lorraine grew up on Hill Street in Stamford, where she created countless memories with her family. Following her schooling, she attended secretarial school and forged a successful career as an Executive Secretary and later as a paralegal at Champion International. Her professional journey was marked by dedication and hard work, traits that she carried through in her personal life as well.

Those who knew Lorraine would describe her as someone who led an active lifestyle. She was an enthusiastic member of the "Ski Bears" ski club of Norwalk, and her adventurous spirit took her skiing on slopes around the world. She was passionate about travel as she loved exploring new destinations. Lorraine was also a faithful parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church in Stamford. Even in her retirement years, Lorraine remained very active, participating regularly in water aerobics classes at the Tully Center.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at St. Maurice Church, located at 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT, beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the mass, she will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery in Darien, CT.

Lorrain's legacy of kindness, love, and spirit will continue to resonate with her family and friends. She will be missed, but her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
