Ann Goodwin Macari of Stamford, Connecticut passed away peacefully after a long illness on the morning of August 30, 2015 at nearly the age of 79. Joseph, her husband of nearly sixty years,was by her side.In addition to Joseph,she is survived by her two sons Joseph and Jerry, three granddaughters,Colette, Romy and Jordan,sisters Karen Stockwell and Barbara Tobin and four nieces and nephews.Ann was born in West Hartford, Connecticut on September 2, 1936 to Robert and Grace TenEyck. She attended the University of Connecticut where she met her future husband, eloping at age nineteen as Joseph began service with the United States Air Force.Ann selflessly dedicated her life to the care of her family, leaving a lasting impact of grace,humility and caring to all those she met.Her hobbies included completing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle before Sunday lunch,sewing her granddaughters’ Halloween costumes and dancing with her husband.But her life was her family,welcoming wives of sons as daughters,doting on granddaughters and taking care of her husband.While she will be dearly missed,we are grateful for her extraordinary impact on our lives and the lessons we will forever carry on how to lead a good life.
A Memorial service will be private for family only.
