Ann Muchinsky died peacefully on October 22, 2016, just 8 days shy of her 99th birthday. Her daughters were with her until the end. Born in 1917, Ann was a life-time Stamford resident She was a hard worker and a devout Catholic and devoted many hours to her church. She was a Eucharistic Minister as well as serving at Mass every day and brought Communion to the housebound. She volunterred at Covenant House and ran many fund-raisers for her church. In 2006 she received the Saint Augustine Medal of Service, from the Diocese of Bridgeport. She was a fabulous cook, baker and was always there to lend a hand. A voracious reader, she read everything from The Iliad to Yeats to Harry Potter. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Cristina Barnes of Rowayton, CT, Mary Ann Fedeli of Stamford, CT, Daniel Muchinsky of Plainfield, NH and Robert Muchinsky of Guilford, CT, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed, the end of an era.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00AM at Church of St. Cecilia 1148 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Muchinsky family with the arrangements.
