Ann M. Riordan, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2007. Born June 29, 1926 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late John and Jane Finley Riordan.
Ann was born and raised in Stamford, and has been a resident of Cos Cob since 1969. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy of Stamford, received her teaching degree at New Haven State Teachers College in 1948 and then went on to receive her Masters. She taught for thirty-five years at Murphy School (K.T. Murphy) in Stamford, until her retirement in 1983. She was also an active member of St. Agnes Church of Greenwich.
She is survived by three Godchildren, Patricia D. Parry of Stamford, Kali and Adrienne DiMarco both of Norwalk, and many loving friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Riordan, and sisters, Enda and Dorothy Riordan.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Agnes RC Church, 247 Stanwich Road, Greenwich at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 18, 2007 with the Reverend Stephen DeLuca officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
