Ann Zarges

Ann Sansone Pellegrino Zarges, 96, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Stamford, on July 6, 1918 to the late Pasquale and Caroline Amatruda Sansone.
Ann was a former employee of Royal McBee, Norma Hoffman, Co. and retired from Olin Corp as a product scheduler. She was a member of St. Bridget’s Seniors Club, Springdale Seniors Club and was also an avid bowler.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Louise P. Colucci of Houston, TX, John and his wife Mary Jo Pellegrino of Stamford, her loving grandchildren, Richard and Robert Colucci and his wife Donna, John William and Jessica Pellegrino, two great grandchildren, Nicholas Joseph and Alex Anne Colucci, a devoted nephew, Eugene Gerardi, a niece Barbara Strock, two stepsons William Zarges, Jr. and Ronald Zarges, two step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren and two care givers, Kelli Kole and Jytte Pirritt.
Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by her first husband Constantino “Gus” Pellegrino, her second husband William Zarges, four brothers, Nicholas, James, Alfred and Patrick Sansone, two sisters, Mary Flynn and Vera Gerardi.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Bridget’s of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford at 10:00 AM. Interment was private and there were no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Salvation Army, 198 Selleck Street, Stamford, CT 06902 or to a charity of one’s choice.
