Anna Cartsounis

Anna Colamonico Cartsounis, 80, of Stamford passed away at Stamford Hospital on Friday, February 26, 2010. Born on February 19, 1930 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Angelina Mirizzi Colamonico. She was a lifelong resident of Stamford.
Anna was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, working in the yard, sewing, knitting and taking care of her family. Anna was also a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, George Cartsounis; her son Gary Cartsounis and his wife Eileen; daughters, Gail, Barbara and Donna Cartsounis; her granddaughters, Christina and Valerie Cartsounis and Danielle Rodriguez (AITE).
In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her sister, Orsalina Burns and her brother, Anthony Colamonico.
A Funeral Procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 at 8:50AM on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 4:00-8:00PM.
