Anna Foster

Anna M. Sweeney Foster, 94, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2009 at her home in Stamford. She was born on January 3, 1915 in New Haven, Connecticut. Mrs. Foster was an administrative assistant for Bloomingdale’s for 35 years before retiring in 1989.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her granddaughter, Heather L. Foster-Smith; her grandson, Sean C. Foster; her great-granddaughter, Amanda M. Foster, all of Stamford; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Foster-Vavala of South Salem, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward B. Foster; her son, Stephen T. Foster; and her sister, Kay Hemstock.
Services and interment will be private.
