Anna Gluss

Anna E. Glus, 93 of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Rhinebeck, NY. Born on March 1, 1916 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Eva Romancyk Koren. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years for Pitney Bowes before retiring.
Anna is survived by her grand niece, Nadine Girardi and her husband Ted of Staatsburg, NY, and their children, Dawn Dransfield of NJ and Russell Girardi of NY and their spouses and children.
In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband, Emil Glus.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902, on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:45AM and will proceed to the Russian Orthodox Church of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, 5 Wheeler Terrace, Stratford, CT for a mass at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place, Stamford, CT. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 4:00-7:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Anna’s name to the Russian Orthodox Church of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple.
