Anne L. Kimbell,71 , a Stamford resident since 1950, died on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the William & Sally Tandet Center in Stamford, CT. Born on August 25, 1935 in Granville, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene Voudry Paro.
Mrs. Kimbell was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a retired Crossing Guard with the City of Stamford for 25 years.
Mrs. Kimbell was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and her family was the focal point of her life.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Paro; and a brother, Robert Voudry.
Mrs. Kimbell is survived by her two sons, David Kimbell and his wife Frances of Madison, CT; Gary Kimbell and his wife Cheryl of Wallingford, CT; and a daughter, Laurie Kimbell of Stamford. Also surviving are her four sisters, Maureen Apruzzese of Norwalk, CT; Wilma Bouchard of Stamford, CT; Susan Seaton; and Nancy McAfee of Greenwich, CT; and including two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 8:30 9:30 AM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2007 and proceed to St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic St., Stamford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with MSGR. DiGiovanni officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien, CT.
