Anne Ostrom
July 19, 1914 — February 26, 2009
Anne Ostrom, 94, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Connecticut Health of Greenwich. Born July 19, 1914 in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Wasco Rebeck.
Anne was a retired real estate agent for William Raveis Real Estate. She was an avid gardener and an exceptional baker. As a member of the North Stamford Garden Club she won blue ribbons for her flower arrangements. Anne was also a member of VASA and a volunteer for Person to Person for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda O. Kramer of Stamford; a son, Roy S. Ostrom of GA; four grandchildren, David and Nina Kramer and Robb and Kendall Ostrom; and a great grandson, Samuel Beauford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nels Ostrom.
A funeral service will be held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, March 5 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Lila Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
