Annunciata Giamba

Annunciata “Nancy” Giamba, 80, wife of the late Gabriele Giamba passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 14, 2017. She was born in Arena, Italy on May 21, 1936 to the late Antonio and Concetta Inzitari Vartuli.
Nancy was a member of the Lega Arena-Dasa Mutual Aid Society as part of the Women’s Auxillary. She retired from Pitney Bowes as line worker in the mid 1980’s after ten years of employment.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Giamba and his wife Stacie of Stamford, Anthony Giamba of Iowa and Bruno R. Giamba and his wife Gioia of PA, as well as seven grandchildren Torie, Kylie, Maria, Jenna, Rebecca, Giuseppe and Sofia Giamba. Also surviving is her brother Michael Vartuli and his wife Theresa of Stamford.
Besides her parents and her husband Gabriele Giamba , she was also predeceased by a brother Domenico Vartuli and a sister Maria Schinella.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 9:00-10:15 AM then proceed to Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
