Anthony Chiravolo

Anthony C. Chiravolo, 87, of Stratford and formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Lord Chamberlain of Stratford. He was born on June 28, 1930 in Harrison, NY to the late Anthony and Mary Matera Chiravolo.
Anthony was a US Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty five years, Carmela Loffredo Chiravolo of Stratford, his loving children, Lynn LaPrade of Boca Raton, FL and Anthony Chiravolo and his wife Laura of Seymour, CT, as well as his grandchildren, Adam LaPrade of Orlando, FL Anthony Chiravolo and his wife Christina of Clifton Park, NY, Bryan Chiravolo of Seymour, CT, Scott Chiravolo of Stratford and his great grandchildren, Anthony and Lacey.
Besides his parents, Anthony was predeceased his brother Michael Chiravolo.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 8:30-10:30 AM with a Mass of Christain Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anthony’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Local Chapter, 38 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854
