Anthony Salvatore "Snookie" Ciuffo, 83, of Naples, FL, formally of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, while in the compassionate care of Avow Hospice Center, following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born on October 19, 1942, in Stamford, Anthony was the beloved son of the late Assunta LeTizia and Anthony Ciuffo. He grew up in Stamford, where he went on to build a vibrant life and a legacy of hard work and connection. For 47 years, Anthony was the proud owner and operator of House of Anthony and Guy in Stamford. As a licensed hairdresser, his salon was more than just a business; it was a cornerstone of the community where he shared his talents, his quick wit, and his warmth with countless clients who became lifelong friends.

Anthony truly loved life. A devoted Christian and a dedicated family man, his faith and his loved ones were the anchors of his world. He did a great job of balancing his family life and business. His wife Jeanne and Anthony loved spending the winters in Vero Beach Florida. When he wasn’t spending cherished time with his family, he could often be found in the pool or on the golf course, enjoying the game and the camaraderie that came with it.

Anthony was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Assunta LeTizia and Anthony, and his two dear brothers, Domenick and Michael Ciuffo.

His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Jeanne of 54 years; his son, Tony Cologero; and his three grandchildren, TJ, Mike, and Cassidy, a great grandchild, Morgan, and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Avow Hospice Center for their comfort and support during his final days, ensuring his transition was as peaceful as possible. A very special thank you is also given to Yolaine Desruisseaux for her exceptional, dedicated care over the past five years, which gave Anthony the wonderful opportunity to remain living at home until the very end.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT.
