Anthony P. Iaco

Anthony P. Iaco, 82, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Darien Health Care Center. Born January 9, 1924 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Rosa Crocco Iaco.
Anthony was the owner of Westview Farms on Fairfield Avenue having retired after thirty years. He also worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and was a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Georgette Desbiens Iaco of Stamford; a son, Anthony P. Iaco, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; two daughters, Carol Ottovino of Arcadia, CA; and Arlene Iaco of Norwalk; two step-sons, William and Mark Gubitose both of Stamford; and three step-daughters, Linda Mejia of Stratford; Elaine Sciarretta of Weston; and Carol Vavala of Stratford. Two sisters, Gloria Livingston of Glendora, CA; and Helen Republino of Palm Desert, CA; a brother, Sal Iaco of East Orange, CA; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Mario Iaco.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 10:20 AM and proceed to St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
