Antoinette Arancia

Antoinette Arancia, 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Born June 13, 1926 in Norwalk, CT she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Chappa Arena.
Antoinette was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Marys RC Church in Stamford, and she was a retired employee of the Marriott Corporation working in Rogers Elementary School for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Maryann Arancia of Cromwell, CT; a son, Charles J. Arancia, Jr. of San Marcos, CA; two brothers, John and Salvatore Arena; and two sisters, Virginia Arena and Helen Damato, all of Norwalk.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Arancia, Sr.; and a sister, Angelina Schiavone.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Friday, June 15, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:20 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2007 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien.
