Antonia was first married to Cesare Di Giorgio, with whom she shared a beautiful life in Astoria, Queens, NY, and then Stamford, CT. Together they raised their two cherished daughters, Anet and Marina. After Cesare’s passing, Antonia found love again with Alberto Pipola, who has been a devoted, faithful, and loving partner.

She is survived by her beloved Alberto Pipola; her daughters, Anet (Carl) Surrusco and Marina (Angelo) Di Cicco; her brother, Giovanni Cerro; and her six treasured grandchildren: Christopher Surrusco, Angela (Matthew) Baccaro, Amanda Di Cicco (Daniel Gilman), Luca Di Cicco, Anthony Surrusco, and Michael Di Cicco.
Antonia’s greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her loving and devoted family and treasured friends. She took immense pride in passing down cherished Italian traditions to her family and loved sharing stories of her early childhood. A gifted cook and baker, Antonia was happiest in the kitchen, lovingly preparing gourmet meals and generously offering both her delicious recipes and heartfelt advice. Another passion of hers was tending to her bountiful flower and vegetable gardens including fruit trees. She shared her love of singing with various choirs including the Traditional Choir at St. Leo Parish. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing cultures around the world.
Antonia will be remembered for her strength, warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends who became family. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she preserved, the meals she prepared, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
