Antonia Nuzzi

Antonia Nuzzi, 81,of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. She was born on December 23, 1932 in Maddalloni, Italy to the late Giovanni and Maddalena Merola Leggiero.
Antonia is survived by her four children, Maddalena Siciliano, Giovanna Pascarella, Andrea Nuzzi all of Stamford and Carmine Nuzzi of Norwalk. Also surviving are eight loving grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Maria Perrotta of Stamford, Rosa Leggiero of Italy and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents ,Antonia was predeceased by her devoted husband Pasquale Nuzzi in 2011 and a sister Giovanna Leggiero.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, October 13, 2014 at 9:00AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford at 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Putnam Cemetery of Greenwich. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Antonia’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I 91 Tech Ctr., Rock Hill, CT 06067
