Arlene V. Coppola, 84, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Stamford. She was born in the Bronx, NY on March 29, 1937 to the late Solomon Javer and Frances (Moch) Javer. She was also predeceased by her husband, Vincent Coppola and her brother, Michael Javer.
Arlene is survived by her loving sons or as she would say, “My Three Sons”, James Coppola and his wife Anna Coppola of Easton, Jon Coppola and his wife Kimberly Coppola of Australia, Jason Coppola and his wife Jolanta Coppola of Easton. Also surviving are her eight beautiful grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart and soul.
Arlene worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years in Stamford. She loved cooking, reading, knitting and the NY Yankees. Family always came first in her life. She was kind, compassionate, a great listener and always gave advice from her heart. Her front door was always open to anyone who wanted to come over for a cup of coffee and she made sure you had a good meal. Everyone that knew her called her “mom”. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Stamford for the love and incredible care they provided to her. Arlene was a gift truly sent from God.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Saturday morning, May 1, 2021 from 8:30-10:30 AM with a funeral service starting at 8:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Mausoleum, Darien.
