Arlene Ritchey

Arlene L. Ritchey, 84, of South Salem, NY and a former resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2015. She was born in Stamford on January 8, 1931 to the late Harry H. and Alice Baker Hill.
Arlene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished spending quality time with her family. She also loved listening to music, playing on the computer and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
She is survived by her loving children, Sharon DeVeaux and her husband Mike of NC, Leroy E. Ritchey and his wife Carol of NY, Robert R. Ritchey and his wife Sara of MD, Dale A. Ritchey and his wife Marylee of CT and Thomas J. Ritchey and his wife Suanne of NY, two sisters Alice F. Stefanisko of CT, Nancy C. Consorte of NY, a brother Roger E. Hill of CT as well as ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her husband, Leroy E. Ritchey, three brothers Harry, Bruce and Howard Hill and three sisters Barbara Schenkel, Dorothy Sirico and Judith Mitchell.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 PM with a funeral service to be celebrated at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Arlene’s memory to the Vista Fire Department, 377 Smith Ridge Road, South Salem, NY 10590
