Armando Alberino, 88, passed away on Wednesday May 24, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born on April 8, 1918 in Capri, Italy, he was the son of the late Vincent and Anna Viva Alberino.
He was an electrician and the owner of Alberino Electric Company for fifty years. He was a resident of Stamford since 1955. Mr. Alberino was a European and North China Swimming Champion and a 1936 Olympic Contestant. He was also a member and contributor of Parents and Friends of Lower Fairfield County Regional Center.
He is survived by his two sons, John John Alberino of Norwalk; and Robert Silvano Alberino of Stamford; a daughter, Barbara Alberino of Massachusetts; a sister, Connie Boccunffusco of Italy; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Sara Rapesta Alberino.
Funeral services were private.
