Arnold C. Bertie, Sr., of Stamford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 26, 1937 to the late John and Anna Arnold Bertie, Sr.
Arnold was a truck driver with Marshalls Express for many years before his retirement. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving children, Arnold C. Bertie, Jr. and his wife Nicole of Milford, CT, Lisa M. Oswald and her husband Louis and Anthony Cosentino , both of Farmingdale, L.I., as well as his grandchildren, Louis Oswald III and Matthew Cosentino.
Besides his parents, Arnold was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Dellarocco Bertie, a brother, John Bertie, Jr. and a sister, Constance Mills
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on SATURDAY, July 15, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on MONDAY, July 17, 2017 at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church,566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
