Arthur A. Deblasi
July 26, 1926 — April 27, 2006
Arthur A. DeBlasi, 79, formerly of Stamford and Norwalk, died on Thursday April 27, 2006 at Candlewood Valley Health Center in New Milford, CT. He was born in Stamford on July 26, 1926 to the late John and Palmina Farascioni DeBlasi.
He was a former employee of Machlett Labs for forty two years, and the former president of the M.L.E.A. He was a member of the Machlett Labs ten year club, and was also the former president of the Local Welders Union IAB. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his home. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane and her husband Jim Simpson of Newtown, CT; a son, Arthur M. and his wife Amy DeBlasi of Oxford, CT; two brothers, Pat DeBlasi of Shelton, CT, and John DeBlasi of Stamford.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Lucy Julia DeLucia DeBlasi.
There will be a funeral service held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday May 1, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will then follow at St. Johns RC Mausoleum, Darien, CT. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday April 30, 2006 from 2:00 6:00 PM.
