Arthur Freitag

Arthur Freitag, 85, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2009. Born in Jersey City, NJ, on July 30, 1924, he was the son of the late Otto and Agnes Covart Freitag.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Arthur was a resident of Stamford for 62 years before moving to Brookfield with his son and family three years ago.
Arthur is survived by his son, Kevin Russell Freitag & son’s wife Ruthanne; and three grandchildren, Russell Glenarthur, Sarah Rebecca & Moriah Jean Freitag all of Brookfield.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Jean Priscilla Freitag; and his daughter, Kimberly Jean Freitag.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 �" 11:00 AM, before the services. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford.
