Arthur Raymond Moe, 79, a life-long resident of Stamford, passed away on September 28, 2006 with his family by his side. Born in Stamford on March 15, 1927, he was the son of the late Arthur Moe and Helen Anne Tutules and the step-son of Theodore Tutules.
He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. After the war, he worked as a Top Lineman at Northeast Utilities for thirty-six years. He attended electrical school while in the Navy and graduated from Power Squadron School. His many activities included, cooking, singing in a Barber Shop Chorus, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman, who won many contests and was a longtime member of the Cummings Boat Club. He will be remembered for his clever, subtle wit, his devotion to his family, and his �"never give up tenacity.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Glass Moe of Stamford; six children, Marjorie Levin, Renee Moe, Elizabeth Halper, Arthur Thaddeus Moe, Anne Palumbo, and James G. Moe; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2006 at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM.
