Audrey Penachio

Audrey E. Penachio, 88, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Thursday July 28, 2016. Audrey was born in Stamford on May 30, 1928 to the late Herbert and Rebecca Wood Butler.
Audrey loved music, especially singing with the Master Singers and Connecticut Choraliers. She will be remembered for her love of music, gardening, home and family. Her memory will be treasured forever by her family.
Audrey is survived by her daughter Rebecca Parady and her husband Gary of Texas, her son Thomas Penachio and his wife Carol of New Milford, CT, her seven grandchildren; Steve, Tim, Jamie, Bryan, Laura, Lisa and David and her four great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Audrey is predeceased by her loving husband Andrew Penachio and her brothers Bud Butler and Bruce Butler.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00PM and on Thursday August 4, 2016 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday August 4, 2016 at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Road, Stamford.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Audrey’s memory to Alzheimer Association.
