Aurelio Giamba

Aurelio Giamba, 74, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Monday March 2, 2015 at Stamford Hospital with his loving family by his side. Aurelio was born in Arena V.V., Italy on July 6, 1940 to the late Guiseppe and Grazia Davino Giamba.
Aurelio was the proud owner of Aurelio’s Tailor Shop on Mason Street then moving Greenwich Avenue, before retiring in 2001.
Aurelio is survived by his loving wife Raffaela D’Agostino Giamba of Stamford, his daughters Marygrace Giamba and Rosemary Giamba both of Stamford, his brother Tony Giamba or Arena, Italy as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday March 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM and proceed to St. Gabriel’s RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at ST. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 222 S. Riverside Plaza, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60606.
