Barbara Banning

Barbara A. Banning, 83, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born in Stamford on September 28, 1935 to the late George Oakley and Alice Mara Banning.
Barbara was a Horticulturalist at Blondie’s Tree House before retiring. She volunteered at Church with the clothing drive and the food pantry. She was an avid reader and loved taking care of her plants.
She is survived by her son, John Banning of Nantucket, MA, a brother, Oakley Banning of Norwalk, a sister, Claire Piscitelli of Laguna Hills, CA and also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately.
