Barbara Black, 75 of Darien passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Stamford Hospital. Born in Stamford on November 7, 1935 to the late Michael and Helen Mishley Pacelli.
Barbara was employed by the Stright Septic Co. as an Office Manager for many years up until the time of her passing.
She is survived by her loving sons, Robert J. White, Jr of Darien and Brian White of Stamford. Also surviving are her two sisters, Helen MacDonald of Stamford, CT and Evelyn McCormick of Woodbury, CT and a brother, Jerry Pacelli of Darien.
Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Louis Black, one sister and five brothers.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and there will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 is handling the arrangements.
