Barbara D'Iorio

Barbara C. DIorio, 80, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Stamford Hospital, with her family at her side. Born on August 8, 1926 in Burlington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Gordon M. and Rose A. Meunier Bennett.
Barbara was a teachers aid at Stamford High School, and retired last year after being employed for twenty-five years. She was a member of the Darien Womens Fire Department Auxiliary, and a member of the Center of Hope, also in Darien. She was also an artist.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan B. Lee of New Milford; and Kim Lambert-Labato of Whately, Mass; two sons, Gareth W. Lambert of Fairfield; and Nino V. DIorio of Denver, CO; a brother, Gordon Bennett, Jr.; a sister, Melissa J. Bennett both of Burlington, VT; six grandchildren, Justin W. Lee; Brandon W. Lee; Alden B. Lee; Ana B. Labato; Cassidy DIorio; and David DIorio; and one great grandchild, Collin W. Lee.
