Barbara Linton Morgan, 78, of Stamford passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on May 24, 2012. Born in New York, NY on October 2, 1933 to the late Commodore and Hedwig Buhler Linton.
Barbara was the Executive Director Travel Coordinator for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She was a vital, brave, and engaging woman with a full range of interests including but not limited to photography and painting. Besides a successful career, she enjoyed traveling the world with her daughter with whom she had a close and special relationship. In her travels she cultivated many close friendships from around the world.
She was predeceased by both her parents and daughter Thais E. Morgan.
A Graveside Service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, South Main Street, New Canaan on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 12:30 PM. There will be no calling hours, as friends are asked to join by her grave for a spiritual celebration of her life, as well as the life of her daughter Thais and her mother Hedwig, with the Rev. Katherine Silvan celebrating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barbara’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, CT Chapter, 659 Tower Ave., 1st Floor, Hartford, CT 06112. Arrangements are being handled by the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902
